The role:
Montonio has been growing steadily in the Baltics 🇱🇹🇱🇻🇪🇪, Poland 🇵🇱 and beyond, and with more merchants eager to leverage our expanding product lineup, we need driven individuals to help them succeed. That’s where you come in!
As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of our growth efforts - connecting with target merchants (ICPs), understanding their needs and helping them unlock the full potential of Montonio’s solutions.
You’ll be joining an ambitious and supportive team where best practices are already in place, but there’s still room for your ideas and innovation (#start-up🚀). This means you won’t have to start from scratch, but you will have the opportunity to shape how we grow, leave your mark and directly impact the success of our merchants.
We believe in building meaningful relationships, not just closing deals. Your role is to ensure that the businesses we work with feel confident in their partnership with Montonio - because when they thrive, so do we.
Your daily missions:
Lead generation and sales – identify and engage potential ICPs through direct outreach, networking and market research.
Consultative selling – understand merchant needs, present tailored solutions and negotiate win-win deals.
Market and revenue expansion – drive revenue by consistently hitting activity KPIs and successfully closing new business deals.
Collaboration & Handover – Work closely with the customer success team to ensure a seamless transition when a merchant agrees to do business, providing all necessary information for smooth onboarding. Collaborate with support and product teams to streamline sales processes, address merchant needs, and continuously improve the overall experience.
Industry engagement – represent the company at key industry events and conferences.
Our expectations to you:
- At least 2 years of experience in business development, sales or account management with proven experience in cold calling and outbound sales
- Strong communication, negotiation and consultative selling skills to build meaningful merchant relationships.
- The ability to identify and engage our target merchants (ICPs) effectively, ensuring strategic and high-value partnerships.
- A results-driven mindset, consistently exceeding sales targets and contributing to business growth.
- Proactive, self-motivated and comfortable in a fast-paced, target-driven environment where adaptability and initiative are key.
- Language skills - excellent proficiency in spoken and written Lithuanian and English will be key in effectively communicating with our merchants. We want to ensure seamless interactions and understanding.
⭐️ Bonus points for:
- Experience in fintech or e-commerce, understanding industry dynamics and merchant needs.
- An existing network or relationships within the target market, giving you a head start in building partnerships.
- Knowledge of CRM tools, especially HubSpot and the ability to leverage sales analytics for data-driven decision-making.
- Experience in scaling sales functions or working in a high-growth environment, adapting to rapid changes and new opportunities.

We offer a competitive OTE of 4500 EUR (2000 EUR base + 2500 EUR commission) with guaranteed commission for the first 4 months to ensure your success right from the start. There is no cap in earning commissions - your earnings are directly tied to your performance, with no ceiling on your potential.
