The Role:
We need someone to make sure that we are able to catch the baddies who are trying to use our services. This is a huge challenge and we need the brightest and most talented AML Officer to join our AML team to help us do just that. The main focus for this role is transaction monitoring.
You will work closely with compliance, sales and customer support teams to ensure proper risk mitigation while retaining seamless customer experience.
This is a junior or mid-level role. Meaning that you can also apply with relatively little experience.
What you will do:
- Focus primarily on monitoring transactional activity to identify unusual patterns, trends, behaviours, or anomalies that may indicate money laundering, terrorist financing, or fraud.
- Review and resolve PEP, sanctions, and adverse media screening alerts, ensuring timely escalation where necessary.
- Contribute to the development, tuning, and improvement of transaction monitoring and fraud detection rules, helping us strengthen our financial crime controls.
- Support broader AML operations when needed, including onboardings, ODD, enhanced due diligence, and other day-to-day tasks within the team.
- Take ownership of process development and continuous improvements, helping us streamline and scale our workflows.
- Communicate clearly and proactively with colleagues, offering guidance on AML/CTF-related matters and helping increase awareness across the company.
Our expectations for you:
- 👨💻 Either some experience in AML/financial crime OR a strong motivation to grow into the field.
- 👾 Experience in transaction monitoring, fraud prevention, and screening is a plus but not mandatory (mid-level candidates should have familiarity with Lithuanian AML/CTF requirements.)
- 🇬🇧🇱🇹 Excellent spoken and written English and Lithuanian, enabling clear and confident communication with colleagues and occasionally merchants.
- 🔍 Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to spot unusual patterns or red flags — or the curiosity and aptitude to develop these skills.
- ⚙️ High attention to detail and a commitment to thorough, high-quality work.
- 😎 A proactive, self-driven attitude - comfortable taking initiative and gradually owning cases and processes as you grow.
- 🤝 Openness to feedback and a willingness to expand your skillset across broader AML operations (onboarding, ODD, EDD, etc.) when needed.
Bonus points for:
- Experience creating or tuning transaction monitoring or fraud rules.
- Previous exposure to e-commerce and card schemes.
- Knowledge of common fraud schemes and typologies.
- Background in fintech or other fast-paced environments.
- Additional language skills: Estonian, Polish, Latvian, or Finnish.
- Knowledge of SQL.
